Import & Export

Reuse Client Calm configurations across WordPress sites safely.

Why export settings

Exporting settings gives your agency a repeatable blueprint for similar client sites and a rollback point after changes.

  • Create a baseline export after the first approved configuration.
  • Store exports with your project documentation.
  • Re-export after meaningful menu, role, or branding changes.

Importing on another site

Import settings into a staging or new production site, then review because plugin stacks and roles may differ.

  • Back up the target site first.
  • Import the JSON settings file from Client Calm.
  • Review role and menu mappings before handing the site to a client.

Agency blueprint tips

A good blueprint is a starting point, not a substitute for final site-specific review.

  • Maintain separate exports for brochure, WooCommerce, and membership sites.
  • Name exports with the date and site type.
  • Test imported settings with a client role before sign-off.
